The kid is in her third week of school and this week something very, very exciting happened. I mean she’s making friends, and she’s having fun, and she’s willing to go and those are all exciting things. But this week in her pocket with her name, where her art projects and forms and whatever else …

Kid has been enjoying school, if not the drop offs. She’s made a couple of friends, one that she talks about all the time. She made a friend at her gymnastics class too and participated without Daddy by her side this week. Things are looking up. Except… Why I am having such a hard time? …

The kid has developed an interest in space. I’m not sure where it came from, but I’m fully supportive. An interest in math and science is something I’m pushing for. I liked math, until I hated geometry and trig, and I still have a great interest in science, but upon receiving my grades in Grade …

I am fascinated by the things my kid thinks out loud sometimes. Truly. It’s really awesome watching her mind work. She’s very logical sometimes, and very funny a lot of the time, and sometimes she’s just weird. And sometimes she says things that catch in my throat because I don’t know if she understands what …

This kid has always had a problem with sleeping, she doesn’t like to go to sleep and fights every way possible. I’m not good at going to sleep either, so I understand somewhat. I hate thinking of what I might be missing out on, and I think she’s realizing more that we’re up after she …

I have gone through the stages and finally come to acceptance. After three years of encouragement I now understand: I have a child who does not like crayons. It’s been hard for me. I loved crayons when I was a kid. I had my own little green toolbox that was full of them. I used …
