At my old job I had a perfect system, I still think about it now when I’m going through a different routine every day. I would get to work, put my things in my office, take my morning oatmeal into the kitchen to microwave it, while that was heating up I would take the newspapers to the boardroom and lay them out for the morning meeting, then I would go back, get my oatmeal and head into my office to log in and start gathering the morning hits.

It was the perfect way to start my day, because I was being productive and settling in to work.

One of the most important things you can do in your life and in your business is manage your time. It’s also one of the hardest things to figure out.

Finding a system that works for you is the best thing you can do for yourself, rather than trying to fit into someone else’s way of doing things. Put Post-It Notes up around your computer monitor, find the write planner or app to jog your memory, keep three calendars in different places with the same information, or write things on your hand.

Whatever works is the best thing.
