For some reason I allowed myself to sign up for both NaNoWriMo and NaBloPoMo this November. This means that I will be trying to write a blog post every day and another 1667 words on a novel. Oh, and working, and parenting, and sleeping, and watching my husband grow a bad mustache. Oh, and finishing the shawl my mother requested for Christmas.
I will be cheating a little bit on NaNoWriMo, using a story I have already started but have sort of stopped working on and for which I need a kick in the ass. I’ve also got a few other projects going that I can’t lose in the shuffle.
The thing is I found recently that the more I was writing things – blogging, working on two other projects – the more I was writing. I’m hoping that this will serve as greater inspiration and improved desire to write.
Some days will be better than others, some days will certainly be more interesting, but I’m glad to be challenging myself.
The good thing is I can dedicate at least some of my blog posts to the things I want to get done on my Getting it done list, and I’ll probably join Sara’s Tidy Up Tuesday posts since there are things around the house I want to get organized better – including the desk that I might actually be using this month.
All this to say if you follow this blog you will be hearing a lot from me this month, some of it might be interesting or entertaining and some of it might not be at all, but I’m going to do my best.
