I feel pretty

November 4th, 2010 | Posted by Amy Boughner in Personal

While I was at the She’s Connected conference in Toronto I had my make-up done by a very nice lady from Bourjois Cosmetics. I was worried that she would overdo it and I would spend the rest of the day feeling uncomfortable, but I ended up being happy with what she did and the way I looked. She put a smile on my face.

When I got back to the table the ladies I was sitting with asked if I had gotten my picture taken and I shook my head. I’m not good at getting my picture taken. But they convinced me to go back and see Cherie Lynn from CL Buchanan Photography.

And this week she posted the photos on Facebook, and I had to smile again:

I felt good that day. I met some interesting people, I met some people I’ve been talking to online, and I got to spend the day with a group of women I’ve been getting to know gradually who have been helping me learn all sorts of things, and helping me challenge myself to think harder, think bigger, challenge myself and don’t be afraid to ask for what you need.
